Shaheen Heading Downtown to Promote Shopping Season

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, will have a chance to get a jump on her Christmas shopping with a tour of Nashua's downtown on Nov. 25.

Shaheen will stop by Beckonings, Alec's Shoes and Martha's Exchange starting at about 1:30 p.m. to discuss their efforts to create jobs and expand in advance of Small Business Saturday (Nov. 30) a national effort that encourages consumers to shop at small businesses the day after Black Friday.  

With 96 percent of Granite Staters employed by small businesses, encouraging small business growth is one of Shaheen’s top priorities and is critical to New Hampshire’s economy.
