1 Dead, 1 'Detained' After Sky Meadow Country Club Shooting In Nashua; Multiple Injuries Reported

Update: Nashua police say video surveillance confirmed there was one shooter and they are in custody. Investigation ongoing.

NASHUA, NH — A man is in custody after a shooting that killed one man and injured several other people at the Sky Meadow Country Club on Saturday night.

Nashua police said one person is in custody, and surveillance footage confirmed there was only one shooter, and they were in custody. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said late Saturday night that a man was killed during the incident.

Police and fire and rescue teams from surrounding communities were called to the facility just before 7:30 p.m., Nashua fire and rescue teams and police were sent to the club for a report of an active shooter and several people injured. One man was reportedly shot in the face.

A trauma alert was called at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. At least three people were taken by ambulance at 7:45 p.m. to the hospital. After transporting those people to the hospital, firefighters requested five more ambulances. A statewide mobilization unit was also requested.

According to scanner chatter, Merrimack police were asked to assist Nashua police. Manchester AMR was also requested to the scene. Several scanner trackers are reporting the shooting is officially a mass casualty event, meaning several people are injured.

At least nine ambulances were requested to the scene.

Guests were evacuated from the compound around 8 p.m. There were reports of at least two shooters being at large. One has been captured, according to scanner chatter.

EMTs from Amherst, Hollis-Brookline, Hudson, Milford, and Manchester were also all requested to the scene.

Around 9:15 p.m., Nashua police reported on X-Twitter that a suspect was detained after several reports said there was more than one gunman.

“The scene is still an active investigation, but there is no further danger to the public,” the post said.
