Alleged Crest Whitestrip Bandit Faces Felony Charge

Frank Pineault was charged on a warrant after police say he took 8 boxes of teeth whitener from CVS.

Frank Pineault, 36, of 343 Forest Road, Wilton, was arrested July 24 on a warrant charging him with theft by unauthorized taking, a class A misdemeanor.

Pineault allegedly stole eight boxes of Crest Whitestrips tooth whitening agent, valued at about $400, on July 7 from CVS, 242 Main St., Nashua. 

Pineault was identified as a suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Following Pineault’s arrest, Detectives from the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division furthered the investigation. It was determined that Pineault has two prior theft convictions on his criminal record and as a result pending charge was upgraded to a Class B felony.

A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Pineault refused bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on July 25, 2013.
