Tolles Street Mission Seeks Public Support

Even if you don't make the soiree, consider making a donation to support the good work of the mission.

Rev. Josephine Norwood is moving in the spirit, working to keep the Tolles Street Mission in fresh produce, canned goods and poultry.

Supplemental food distribution is just one of the many outreaches available through the small mission, located at 52 Whitney Street in Nashua.

On Nov. 9  the community is invited to help support the mission in its first-ever fundraising event, 7 p.m. at Alpine Grove, 19 South St., in Hollis, for a night of music, food and a silent auction. Tickets are $60 per person  and can be purchased at the door.

Norwood said the goal is to expand the mission, both physically and in terms of its outreach, and to locate a permanent full-time pastor "with some business savvy, and a heart for the lost."

Going into the holiday season the mission can always used donations, especially turkeys, or tax-deductible cash donations, and volunteers.

Contact the office at 880-4984 Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
