Two Injured with One Bullet in Gun Mishap

Charges are pending against a man who was injured while breaking down a gun, after a bullet struck a woman in the same room.

Nashua Police are investigating a shooting Nov. 23 at 39 Congress Street, Apt. 24 in which two adults were struck by one bullet as a result of an accidental discharge. 

One man, who resides in New York, was breaking down a handgun which was still loaded. The weapon was fired and a bullet went through his hand and then into the upper leg of a woman. The adult female is a resident of the Congress Street address.

Both parties were transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries. The man was later transported to the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass.

Police declined to name the victims as they both remain hospitalized. 

Charges are expected to be filed against the man involved in this incident, police said.
