Woman Charged for Cashing $5,000 in Checks Allegedly Stolen from Aunt
More charges may be added after police say Deborah Philbrick allegedly cashed stolen checks in several towns.

Deborah L. Philbrick, 27, of 114 Elm St., Nashua, was arrested by Hollis Police on a warrant charging her with unauthorized taking, a class a felony, after police say she stole 13 checks from her aunt and cashed them, amounting to more than $5,000.
On Oct. 6 Hollis Police took a report from a Hollis resident regarding checks that she said had been stolen from her home. The victim told police she suspected her niece was responsible. Hollis Police Department Detective Division conducted an investigation and subsequently secured an arrest warrant for Philbrick, who turned herself in to Hollis Police on Oct. 17.
All of the checks were cashed in neighboring communities and further charges are possible.

Philbrick was subsequently released on $5,000 Personal Recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 13 in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
