Fisher Cats Mascot Promotes Vaccination Event In Derry
Slider, the Fisher Cats Baseball Team's mascot, will be in town on Wednesday.

The Derry Public Health Department and the Alexander Eastman Foundation will be joined by Slider, the Fisher Cats Baseball Team’s mascot, on August 18th, from 3-5p.m. to kick off the effort to promote the September 1st visit of the state of NH’s Vaccination Van to the town of Derry.
The Vax Van will provide COVID 19 vaccinations free of charge to adults and children over 12 when it visits the Derry Homegrown and Artisan Market from 3-7p.m. on September 1st and the Alexander Eastman Foundation will give a pair of Fisher Cats Baseball tickets to the first 25 adults who receive vaccinations during the Vax Van’s visit. Adults must be 18 or over.

David McPherson, chair of the Alexander Eastman Foundation board of trustees, said, “The Alexander Eastman Foundation is committed to improving the health and wellness of residents of the greater Derry area and, if we can do so by giving away Fisher Cats tickets to the September 4th game against the Portland Seadogs in Manchester, we’re happy to help.”
