UNITS of North Shore, a portable storage company, is pitching in to help 79-year old Eddie Frazier, a Vietnam veteran, who has suffered a great loss in a recent house fire.
UNITS of North Shore has provided one of their portable storage units, free of charge, to help Eddie as he picks up the pieces and tries to salvage what is left of his belongings in his childhood home.
Thanks to the UNITS onsite storage unit that was delivered to the homeowner, the task of where to store those items has been solved and family heirlooms and belongings that can be recovered now have a safe place.
“It’s our honor to help Eddie, a U.S. Navy veteran who served our country during the Vietnam War,” says UNITS of North Shore Operations Manager Kris Spanks. “For us, this business is not all about money. We are members of this community and want to help whenever we can where there’s a need. It’s about kindness and positivity and giving back. It’s been our honor to help.”
UNITS of North Shore has provided a portable unit along with packing equipment to sit onsite for as long as needed until the family decides what their plans are for the home. Kris says despite the loss, Eddie remains positive.
“To my knowledge, Eddie has a limited income and no homeowner’s insurance, so we wanted to help out. He inherited this home from his mother, and he wants to save all he can of her memory.”
Eddie is currently living in a camper on the property with his dog Cowboy. There is also a GoFundMe account where members of the community are pitching in to help out this local veteran in need.
