How did you get into the insurance industry?
Working in my family's three retail shops from a young age taught me how to treat people and really listen to what they need, so I choose roles where I can help people, and helping people find the right coverage at the right price is a perfect example of it. With 20+ years' experience, I'd say I made the right choice.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Seeing the smiles and relief on a client's face after I've helped them get the best options for their unique needs.
What’s something you wish everyone knew about insurance?
Policies are not all the same. Companies offer different coverage limits, discount programs, restrictions, interest rates and can have different underwriting requirements, so having a professional help sort through all that to find the right plan for you is immensely helpful.
What factors should someone consider when exploring their insurance options?
Experience of the agent, does the carrier or agent work with more than one carrier, claims paying ability, are they having a good customer experience throughout the process, looking at customer reviews, what other areas are they licensed in.
What would you tell someone who’s on the fence about getting a personalized insurance policy quote?
The market has exploded over the past 3 years, so have a professional review your current plans to see if you could be saving money and getting more appropriate coverage, or if you should hold tight with what you have for the time being. If nothing else, it'll give you a better sense of where you sit in the current insurance marketplace.
What do you like most about the Salem area?
The variety of shopping, restaurants, people, proximity to other popular destinations like white mountains, Boston, adventure parks. There is something for everybody here.
What’s your favorite restaurant in the Salem area?
I'm a foodie, so too many to pick just one, but Wasabi Steak House, Tuscan Market, Pressed Cafe, Fresh Hub Eatery, Black Water Grill. These are all excellent!
What’s one hidden gem in the Salem area that everyone should know about?
Salem Town Forest has miles of walking trails, vernal pools, floodplains and wetlands.
