Around 11:23 p.m. Sunday, Pelham police responded to Windham Road for a report of individuals breaking into a shed. Officers responded to the vacant home and located three individuals hiding in some bushes.
The three were identified as Matthew L. Ryan, 17, Savanna Mayberry, 17 and Nicholas Mayberry, 17, all of Pelham. They were taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing.
Officers responded to the rear of the home and observed three additional individuals inside. One of them immediately fled the scene upon seeing the police. A second individual was seen breaking a glass window, while the third remained inside.
The remaining two individuals were taken into custody and identified as Mitchell Kamal, 17 and Colby Forrest, 17, both of Pelham. Kamal was charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass. A female was later found walking in the area of the residence. It was determined that she had fled the residence as police arrived. She was identified as Natasha Blakeslee 17, of Pelham. She was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass.
Officers searched the home in an attempt to secure it and make sure no other individuals were hiding inside. A Salem K-9 unit also searched the immediate area in attempt locate any other individuals who fled the party, with negative results.
While officers continued patrolling the area, an officer observed a vehicle approaching the scene where the arrests had been made. This vehicle suddenly reversed its direction and left the area.
A motor vehicle stop was initiated and the officer made contact with the driver. The driver was identified as Robert V. Diprizio, 19, of Pelham. He was not related to the earlier incident, however, his license was under suspension. He was subsequently placed under arrest for driving after suspension, minor transporting alcohol and receiving stolen property. Diprizio was in possession of several stolen city and town street signs.
The house party incident remains under investigation and upgraded charges are forthcoming. The Salem and Windham police departments assisted Pelham Police with the situation.
