​Supervisors Of The Checklist In Salem Meet Jan. 20

Residents can register to vote or update their info. To participate in the Jan. 31 deliberative session, residents must be registered.

SALEM, NH — The Supervisors of the Checklist of Salem will be in session from 7 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, on the lower level of the Municipal Office Building.

Residents of Salem may register to vote or make changes to their existing data at this session. Change of party affiliation is allowed. Prospective new voters need to be 18 years of age and are required to present a picture ID, such as a driver’s license, proof of domicile, and proof of citizenship. A driver’s license is acceptable for the picture ID and domicile. For proof of citizenship, a birth certificate or United States passport will work. Naturalized citizens must show documented citizenship papers and a United States passport.

The town deliberative session will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Salem High School Auditorium. A resident must be a registered voter to participate at this meeting.

The Town Clerk’s office will also accept registrations during regular office hours up to 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting, which is Jan. 20. Copies of the voter checklist are available for residents to view at the Town Hall Office and at the Kelley Library.
