ConvenientMD Raises Over $2,500 for Local Charity
Windham Helping Hands will receive a big boost thanks to a social media campaign by the urgent care center.
Windham's newest urgent care center raised a huge chunk of money in April for a local charity, and it was all thanks to a few clicks by those in the social media world.
ConvenientMD, located across from Klemm's Mobil on Indian Rock Road, netted $2,680 for Windham Helping Hands. The 501c 3 organization provides help for families in need of assistance.
The urgent care center raised the money through a social media campaign, which took place during the month of April. For each 'like' of the ConvenientMD Facebook page, $10 was donated to the local charity.

The funds will be used for free medical care, according to a Facebook update on the ConvenientMD page Sunday.
"We're happy to be associated with such a wonderful organization," said the update.

ConvenientMD was recognized last month at Castleton Banquet Hall and Conference Center during the second annual Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce Pillar Awards.
The company received recognition in the "new business" category.
