DOT to Host Public Forum in Windham on Rumble Strips
The event will take place this month.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will host a public forum this month in Windham to inform area residents about the proposed installation of rumble strips and rumble stripes along sections of Route 111.
According to a release from the NHDOT, the strips/stripes would be installed between Hudson and Hampstead.
"The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment," read the release.

According to NHDOT Public Information Officer William Boynton, the distinction between a rumble strip and rumble stripe is as follows: "a rumble strip becomes a rumble stripe when an edge line or center line pavement marking is placed on it."
The forum will take place on May 21 at 6 p.m. in the Windham High School cafeteria.
