Holiday Retail Job Fair Today
Here are a handful of things you should know today in Windham.
1. Get hired for the Holidays. Apply for holiday season jobs and meet Mall at Rockingham Park retailers beginning at 4 p.m. today. On the spot applications and submittal and on the spot interviews will be offered. Bring copies of your resume, cover letters and other materials that you would like to be seen by store managers.
2. Help raise money for breast cancer research. Southern New Hampshire Medical Center's social media charity campaign for the month of October is going to help fund breast cancer research. According to the area hospital, for each new like it receives on Facebook this month, the SNHMC will donate a dollar to the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. What a worthy cause! 3. The weatherman says ... It won't be as warm as Wednesday, when temperatures reached 80 degrees. But Thursday will be another unseasonably warm day. 5. On this day ... in 1995, at the end of a sensational trial, former football star O.J. Simpson is acquitted of the brutal 1994 double murder of his estranged wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. In the epic 252-day trial, Simpson's "dream team" of lawyers employed creative and controversial methods to convince jurors that Simpson's guilt had not been proved "beyond a reasonable doubt," thus surmounting what the prosecution called a "mountain of evidence" implicating him as the murderer.
