Is Windham a Destination Location?

Windham is one of America's top 50 small towns, according to Money Magazine.

Last week, the Boston Globe ran a full feature on Windham – which was recently named among America's top 50 small towns by Money Magazine.

The Globe article cites Windham's "proximity to Boston ... the Granite State’s lack of sales or income taxes" and "Windham’s abundant natural beauty."

The cozy feel of the town’s surroundings evoke community and simplicity, providing a quick escape for those looking to enjoy the outdoors or experience New Hampshire charm close to home. - Boston Globe, Sept. 17

While the article lists several great options for daytime and nature activities, and several fantastic dining options in town, it goes on to identify two locations in Salem and one in Hampstead in terms of 'places to stay.'

Windham's night life, according to the Globe, consists of wine and martinis at The Windham Restaurant and also Park Place Lanes in Salem.

There is little doubt Windham is a great bedroom community, but our question is this: Is Windham a destination location? Do you want it to be?
