TELL US: Should Windham Keep Route 111 Traffic Signal?

A debate is stirring in Windham. It will be discussed further during a May 20 Board of Selectmen meeting.

A debate over a traffic light at the intersection of Routes 111 and 111a is beginning to boil in Windham, with a discussion set later this month featuring all interested parties.

The Board of Selectmen will host a public information meeting on May 20 to discuss the traffic signal.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear input from the residents and business owners of Windham pertaining to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation's plans to remove the traffic signals from that location as part of the overall Interstate 93 project.

The Windham Economic Development Committee on Friday passed a motion to support retaining the light if traffic studies show that its retention will not create traffic congestion or other safety issues.

The Board of Selectmen meeting will take place at the Community Development Department at 7:30 p.m.

Windham residents – before that meeting happens, we want to hear from you on this issue. Should the light remainat the current intersection?
