Top 3 Stories of 2013: No Dodging the Dodgeball Debate
'Human target' games nixed from Windham Physical education curriculum.

We've compiled a short list of the top three Windham Patch stories, by traffic, in 2013. The following is a brief recap of one such story.
After prolonged debate, the Windham School Board voted, by a tally of 4-1, to eliminate dodgeball and other "human target" games from the school district's physical education curriculum.
The debate continued for several more months, with students from both Windham Middle School and Windham High School creating petitions to restore the games.
The efforts proved successful.
In June, dodgeball and similar games were reinstated, some with more politically correct names.
