Asbury Park, NJ – For the second year in a row, every graduating senior at College Achieve Greater Asbury Park Charter School (College Achieve Greater Asbury Park) has been accepted to college—a major milestone for the Class of 2025 and a defining achievement for this high-performing public charter school as it celebrates its second graduating class.
“The class of 2025 represents the very best of what happens when we combine rigorous academics with a relentless belief in our scholars’ potential,” said Jasonn Denard, Head of School, College Achieve Greater Asbury Park. “Through small group instruction, universal access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual enrollment opportunities, and a commitment to intellectually challenging courses, we are fostering an environment where students are not only prepared for college, but positioned to thrive once they get there.”
This year’s graduates earned over $10 million in scholarships and secured spots at leading colleges and universities across the country, including Fordham, Drexel, Penn State, the University of Connecticut, and Seton Hall. The class of 2025 also boasts a Gates Scholarship recipient, one of the most prestigious academic honors awarded to high-achieving, low-income students nationwide.
“The Class of 2025 embodies what’s possible when a school system is designed to deliver real outcomes for students,” said Michael Piscal, CEO and founder of College Achieve Public Schools. “Their college acceptances, record-breaking scholarships, and academic growth reflect more than individual success, they reflect a scalable model that works. By grounding our approach in best practices, including small-group instruction, and evidence-based writing frameworks like the Toulmin Method, we’re proving rigorous and thoughtful education can disrupt generational poverty and expand opportunity.”
In addition to the stellar outcomes of its senior class, College Achieve Greater Asbury Park is also seeing record academic gains across grade levels. On the most recent New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA), eighth grade students outperformed the state average in mathematics by 24 percentage points, with Black or African American students surpassing the state average by 29 points. Ninth graders also showed outstanding progress in English language arts, exceeding both the local district and state averages by double digits. These results underscore College Achieve Greater Asbury Park’s commitment to data-driven instruction and a mission dedicated to closing opportunity gaps.
College Achieve Greater Asbury Park is part of the College Achieve Public Schools network, which operates free, public K–12 charter schools across New Jersey. At College Achieve Greater Asbury Park, students benefit from small class sizes, AP and dual-enrollment opportunities, and a robust college counseling program that supports FAFSA completion to scholarship applications.
The success extends across the College Achieve network: both College Achieve Paterson and College Achieve Central celebrated 100% college acceptance rates for the Class of 2025, further underscoring the network’s commitment to college readiness and student success.
