From concerts to dog days in the park, here are some of the many activities taking place this weekend in Monmouth County.
ASBURY PARK, NJ – Now that Labor Day has come and gone, we are now officially into local summer, where the weather is still great but with a lot fewer people clogging up the beaches. It is also the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sept. 11, so it is also a very emotional weekend for many people.

Celtic-tinged punk rockers Flogging Molly and alt-rock legends The Violent Femmes will be performing at The Stone Pony Summer Stage on Sunday, Sept. 12, with doors at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of door time is required for entrance.
Vic DiBitetto To Perform In Red Bank This Saturday

Known for his hilarious viral rants, comedian Vic DiBitetto is performing on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Hackensack University Health Center Theater at the Count Basie Center in Red Bank. Tickets are on sale now, and the venue requires proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of door time.
Moceans To Host Beach Bash In Long Branch
The Moceans Center for Independent Living is holding its annual beach bash at the Pier Village Pavillion in Long Branch on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. There will be activities plus live entertainment from The Hudson City Rats, Maysoon Zayid, Arlan Feiles, and more.
Dog Days Comes To Red Bank This Saturday
Bring your dog to Red Bank’s Marine Park on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. There will be a live performance by The Wag plus vendors, doggy daycare, all types of dog games and toys, contests, and an after-party at Red Rock. All dogs must be vaccinated and leashed.
Historic Village At Allaire To Host Kids’ Club
The Historic Village at Allaire will be hosting its monthly History Kids Club meeting on Sunday from 1:30-3 p.m. History Kids Club is for children ages 5-12 years old. Children can complete a fun and educational activity that represents an element of life in the 19th century. Tickets are $10 are you must register in advance.
