Wilson has been performing with The Smithereens while also having established his own hit career with the Gin Blossoms, which includes having a Top 25 hit in 1992 with "Hey Jealousy" and multi-platinum selling albums New Miserable Experience and Congratulations I’m Sorry, the latter of which contains the Grammy-nominated single "As Long as It Matters."

The Smithereens continues to tour with its three original founding members: Guitarist Jim Babjak, drummer Dennis Diken and bassist Mike Mesaros, despite the unfortunate death in 2017 of founding lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Pat DiNizio.

The Smithereens were formed in New Jersey in 1980 and the band was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019.

The Smithereens are huge fans of Buddy Holly and the '60s British Invasion (particularly the Beatles, Kinks and the Who), along with Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. The band incorporated those influences into their own original style and sound.

Signature Smithereens songs are "Blood and Roses," "A Girl Like You," "Only a Memory," "Behind the Wall of Sleep." Get tickets here for the Nov. 24 show at the Stone Pony: https://www.stoneponyonline.co... Tickets are $40 each.
