2 'Seriously' Hurt In Manahawkin 3-Car Crash: Police
A Manahawkin driver was seriously injured Friday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 72, Stafford Township Police said.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ—A Manahawkin driver was seriously injured Friday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 72, Stafford Township police said.
Brenda Evans, 61, of Manahawkin, was transported to Atlantic City Trauma Center for treatment following the crash that happened at 10:28 a.m. on Route 72 westbound at Marsha Drive, according to authorities.
Alois Krtil, 82, of Ship Bottom, was driving in the right lane toward a red signal and struck the rear of Evans’ vehicle. After these two vehicles collided, they veered into a third vehicle that was stopped at a red signal in the left lane of Route 72.

Evans and Krtil both sustained serious injuries from the collision.
Westbound traffic on Route 72 was diverted onto E. Bay Avenue for about one hour during the investigation.
