4 Southern Regional Students Chosen For Governor's School
Four students have been nominated to represent Southern Regional High School at this year's Governor's School.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Four students have been nominated to represent Southern Regional High School for this year’s Governor’s School.
Christian Caruso and Olivia Davis have been enrolled in the science program. The Governor's School in the Sciences broadens the scholars' appreciation and knowledge of science through exposure to a range of scientific topics and scientists.
The program introduces scholars to a hands-on research experience in a student's area of interest through a series of courses, laboratories, projects, lectures and other activities centered on math and science.

Students benefit from working with professors in Drew University's strong undergraduate science program, and they learn about possible career paths from the faculty and from some of New Jersey's leading industrial, governmental and academic representatives.
Emily Rinnier and Lynsey Rinnier have been chosen to participate in the engineering and technology program.

The New Jersey Governor's School of Engineering & Technology at Rutgers University is an intensive residential summer program that brings together some of New Jersey's most talented and motivated high school students.
Free of grades and official credit, students spend part of the summer following their junior year studying on the campus of the Rutgers University School of Engineering at no cost to their families.
