9th Legislative District Legislators To Open New Office In Manahawkin

Sen. Carmen Amato, Asm. Brian Rumpf and Asm. Greg Myrhe will move out of the Forked River office and into Manahakwin this month.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The 9th Legislative District office will be moving from Forked River to Manahawkin at the end of the month.

Sen. Carmen Amato, Asm. Brian Rumpf and Asm. Greg Myhre announced the move Wednesday in a news release. The new office, located at 400 Main St., Suites 1 and 2, will open on March 28. At the same time, the delegation will move out of the Forked River office they have operated out of since January of 2024.

"The opening of our new joint legislative district office is certainly exciting and is consistent with our pledge to enhance constituent services for those we have the privilege of representing," Amato, Rumpf and Myhre said in a joint statement.

Additionally, the delegation plans to open a second office located in Bayville. That's set to open in the coming months.

During the transition that will take place from March 25 through March 28, the legislators will only be able to receive emails until the phone lines for the new district office become active on March 28. The phone number for the new Manahawkin district office will remain the same: (609) 693-6700. Once the Bayville location opens, it will have its own, separate phone number.

"Over the past year, our district office has received a significant number of inquiries about the ANCHOR program, Senior Freeze applications, and E-ZPass issues as well as utility billing complaints. Overall, our office has received a sizable increase in the number of emails from constituents. By having districts offices in both the southern and northern ends of the Legislative District, we are working to have the services provided by our district office more readily available to our constituents," the delegation said.
