Annual Pinelands Short-Course Day Coming Up At Stockton

Come and learn about coastal flooding, ghost forests, Pinelands politics and more at the March 20 event

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stockton University is holding registration for its popular annual Pinelands Short Course event, which will be held on March 10.

The event features a record 41 presentations, including 29 new programs about the unique history, ecology, culture and music of the Pinelands.

Some of the courses will include carnivorous plants, mammal skull identification, ghost forests of the Mullica Valley, the Cedar Bridge Tavern excavation, the Batona Trail, rain gardens, coastal flooding, and the politics behind the passage of the Pinelands Preservation Act.

Register early to make sure you get the courses you want. New Jersey teachers who attend will receive five professional development credits.

The fee for the day-long event is $50. A $45 discounted registration fee is available to students and senior citizens. The discount code is MARCH2018.
