Barnegat's New Cafe Brings A Tea Party With A Twist
The Delights Artisan Cafe will feature artisan baked goods, a breakfast and lunch menu and live music. The grand opening is Saturday.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Bill and Natercia Clanton, the husband-and-wife team that introduced Tea Party To Go to the Jersey Shore, will hold the grand opening of their newest venture, Delights Artisan Cafe. The ceremony will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at their 34 S. Main Street location in Barnegat.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will host the ribbon-cutting. There will be refreshments served and live entertainment from 2:30 until 7 p.m.
Bill Clanton comes from an information technology and broadcast radio background. He left both fields in pursuit of his hobby in baking. Clanton attributes much of what he has learned from his wife Natercia.

The couple began Tea Party To Go in 2017 with the idea to bring a "Downton Abbey-esque" tea party to customers. They catered tea parties, bridal showers, baby showers and company holiday parties.
According to the Clanton's, customers were asking about wholesale. They decided they needed a bigger kitchen for the growing demand. The Clanton's plan to expand the Tea Party To Go wholesale.

Delights Artisan Cafe features gourmet coffees, traditional brews, cold brew coffee in addition to their assortment of quality teas. Breakfast and lunch will be available Monday through Saturday. On Friday and Saturday, customers can enjoy live music and assorted desserts.
"It is our goal to make Delights a place where people can come, spend time, relax and leave feeling better than when they came in," Bill Clanton said.
According to the Clantons a showcase item offered to customers will be the High-Tea Three Tier service, which was described as being an "upscale feature."
The Three Tier service is reservation-only with seating at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily. The service features a three tier serving tray with sweets on top, sandwiches in the middle and scones on the bottom.
"The experience you get when you come in, the atmosphere, is the most unique aspect of Delights," Natercia said.
