Beach Haven Man Accused Of Contractor Theft Turns Himself In
Bruce Harrison took $3,600 for work, did nothing

LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ -A Beach Haven man accused of contractor fraud recently turned himself in to the Long Beach Township police department, which had been investigating an alleged act of theft, according to the department's Facebook page.
The Long Beach police were contacted in February 2017 by the victim, who told police that he hired Bruce N. Harrison, 39, Beach Haven for home improvement work and gave him a $3,600 deposit for the job, police say.
Harrison was charged with theft by deception for fraudulently claiming to work for a local contracting company, failure to register with the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs, failure to display the registration number on the contract, failure to show proof of insurance and failure to display the cancellation number on the contract, police said.
