Man Takes Manahawkin Nursing Home Employee's Car For Joy Ride: Police
The man drove the unoccupied car away from the nursing home before returning it a few minutes later, Stafford police said.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — An Atlantic City man was charged with theft of a motor vehicle after taking a nursing home employee's car for a joy ride, Stafford police said.
Police went to the Manahawkin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center just after midnight Dec. 9 for the report of the theft of a motor vehicle.
An employee told police that Jose Amaro, 20, had entered her unoccupied vehicle and driven off with it before returning it to the parking lot several minutes later, police said.

Amaro was found in a nearby gazebo, where he was placed under arrest, police said.
He was processed and released pending a future court date.
