How did this person, place or experience make a difference in your life or community this year?

Originally based in Manahawin, Mari & Henry opened another shop in Barnegat so they could be available to more lucky pets.

What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?

Mari has a true love of pets and it shows through in her work. Her compassion really sets her apart from others.

If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?

When my beloved Bianca was called to the Rainbow Bridge, Mari spoke to me for a long time on the phone with condolences.

What’s something you love most about your town or community?

My previous home was in Bergen County, where the hustle and bustle is real. Manahawkin is peaceful in comparison.
