Coast Guard Rescues Passengers In Boat Fire Off NJ Coast

LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ - Plumes of black smoke could be seen off the shore of Little Egg Harbor Tuesday as U.S. Coast Guard officials worked to douse a vessel fire.
The fire, reported Tuesday afternoon near Graveling Point, was contained to a small two-motor boat, U.S. Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light said in a statement.
Local government agencies, Coast Guard Station Atlantic City, and a Good Samaritan worked together to rescue all people on board.

Photos posted to U.S. Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light social media show at least one helicopter dousing the flames with water from above.
It was not immediately clear when the fire was extinguished or if there were any reported injuries to passengers.
