Minor flooding is possible around the Barnegat Bay and in several South Jersey counties, the National Weather Service said.
SOUTH JERSEY — Another round of coastal flooding is expected on Tuesday in parts of South Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. Up to one feet of inundation above ground level is possible in several counties.
As of Tuesday morning, a Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued from noon to 5 p.m. for Cumberland, Cape May and Atlantic counties, the weather agency announced. Minor flooding is also expected around the Barnegat Bay.

Residents in these areas should be prepared for rising water levels, and to take appropriate action to protect life and property. They should follow the recommendations of local emergency management officials. Residents in these areas should not leave their vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding.
“Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs,” the service said.
The additional round of potential flooding comes less than two months after tornadoes hit South Jersey and flooding struck the central and northern parts of the state as a result of the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Several low-lying streets in Ocean City were impassable on Monday due to a combination of high tides and strong winds.
