The Flooding Continues On Long Beach Island Before The Next Storm

The National Weather Service issues another coastal flood advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday

LON BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ - Long Beach Boulevard is still flooded and police are again asking drivers to use Ocean Boulevard and Beach Avenue instead.

Police issued the request in a Nixle alert on Tuesday afternoon, just hours before before another Nor'easter is expected to hit.

"High tide and a full moon cycle has made driving (especially on Long Beach Blvd) challenging," according to post on the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol Facebook page. "Take special care to avoid standing water - it can conceal hidden dangers. Plus it’s cold. 88 days til’ summer."
