Flooding Grows On Long Beach Island With Each High Tide
Coastal flood advisory will run until 6 p.m. on Wednesday
LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ - The water in the streets of Long Beach Island and Beach Haven West seem to be getting worse with each successive high tide from the latest Nor'easter.
The latest storm comes just days after a previous Nor'easter, so the back bays have not had a chance to empty out as they usually do.
The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory until 6 p.m. tonight. High tide earlier today on the oceanfront occurred between 11 a.m. and 12 pm., the NWS said.

"Roadways flooding is expected," according to a post on the NWS website. "Some roads will be closed due to high water. A long period easterly swell will continue to cause additional beach erosion."
