Galloway Man Charged With Running Meth Lab In Stafford: Police
A Galloway Township man faces charges for allegedly operating a meth lab in Stafford Township, police said Tuesday.

STAFFORD, NJ — A Galloway Township man faces charges for allegedly operating a meth lab in Stafford Township, police said Tuesday.
The Stafford Township Police Department received a call on Sunday at 5 p.m. about suspicious activity at 1236 Grays Rd. in the Warren Grove section of the township.
An investigation indicated the possibility of the use and manufacturing of methamphetamine taking place on the property, police said.

John B. Sharpe, 37, of Galloway, was arrested for a warrant out of Galloway.
Once the scene was deemed secure, police conducted a search and recovered numerous types of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) all belonging to Sharpe, police said.

Sharpe was taken to Stafford Police headquarters and charged with the following 3rd degree possession of methamphetamine, 3rd degree possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, 3rd degree possession of heroin, possession of CDS paraphernalia including numerous digital scales and plastic baggies and possession of numerous hypodermic syringes for the use of CDS.
Police also recovered multiple types of unidentified pills, which are pending analysis at a lab that could result in additional charges, police said.
The investigation on Sunday evening led into the early morning hours the following day.
The incident was investigated by the Stafford Township Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, the Ocean County Narcotic’s Strike Force Unit, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Ocean County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit. As a safety measure, more uniformed officers were called in, as well as the Hazmat Team out of Berkeley Township, the Warren Grove Fire Department Station 38, Stafford EMS Squad 38 and additional arson units.
Sharpe was later lodged in the Ocean County Jail and has a future court appearance pending in Ocean County Superior Court.
