Grand Opening Set For 2 New Southern Ocean Eateries

WARETOWN, NJ — Diners in Waretown will soon have a new healthier location to visit with the opening of Frutta Bowls and Saladworks this month.

The co-branded restaurant, with both brands under one roof at 501 Route 9 Unit B4, officially opens Jan. 12. A grand opening celebration is set for Jan. 20, featuring a local radio station and a variety of activities for children, including face painting and more.

The new store is locally owned and operated by Jeffrey Wozniak and Jonathan Hopmayer. Wozniak, a Waretown resident for the past 20 years, has had a diverse career path, according to a news release. In the early 2000s, he owned several mom-and-pop restaurants. Later, he transitioned into the construction and real estate industry, where he now owns a construction company. In addition to their primary ventures, the duo also engages in home flipping on the side.

"We chose to open this location because of our lifelong commitment to healthy eating and a deep appreciation for nutrition," said Wozniak. "We're thrilled to provide the Waretown community with a place where they can enjoy nutritious meals, as there are limited healthy options available in the area."

Both spots focus on create-your-own options, offering varieties of salads, wraps, soups, bowls, smoothies, toasts, protein bites and more. These items come packed with vitamin-rich "superfoods" such as acai, pitaya and kale that are high in antioxidants along with almonds, blueberries, oatmeal, and dark chocolate to help boost immunity levels, according to the news release.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Frutta Bowls restaurants offers online ordering and delivery through third-party delivery services such as Uber Eats, GrubHub and Door Dash. Guests can join the Saladworks Rewards program and download the app for exclusive, members-only rewards, special offers and guest perks.
