The Incident Happened Late Tuesday Afternoon

There's a reason you shouldn't go out in the ocean alone.
A kitesurfer who did found that out the hard way late Tuesday afternoon. The Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol responded to a 911 call at about 5:30 p.m. about a kitesurfer in distress, according to the beach patrol's Facebook page.
The man had become detached from his board far offshore. He was brought safely back to the beach with the help of multiple agencies, the post states.
