It was a very wet weekend in Ocean County, and more rain is on the way this week. Here's how much rain fell in Barnegat and Manahawkin.

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Mother Nature made good on her promise of April showers this past weekend, soaking the state with some much-needed rain.
Ocean County had some of the highest rain totals in the state, with the most rain falling in the county on the north branch of the Metedeconk River and in Berkeley.
According to the Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow Network, Stafford Township received 5.38 inches of rain in one area and 5.57 inches of rain in another. This data is for Friday through Monday.

The area by the bathing beach in Barnegat only received 1.33 inches of rain over the past 48 hours as of Monday morning, according to the Department of Environmental Protection.
Nearby, West Creek got 5.26 inches of rain over the past 72 hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The West Pine Plains area of Warren Grove received 4.98 inches of rain, according to NWS data.
And more rain is in the forecast for the week. According to AccuWeather, Barnegat can expect showers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
