How Much Rain Has Fallen In Barnegat-Manahawkin?

As Tropical Storm Ophelia batters the Jersey Shore, here's the weekend's rainfall totals for the Barnegat-Manahawkin area:

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — It's been an incredibly wet weekend at the Jersey Shore as Tropical Storm Ophelia made landfall in North Carolina.

Areas have flooded throughout Ocean County, and rain is anticipated to continue into Monday, according to the latest forecasts. The most rain in the county fell in Berkeley, with 4.7 inches as of Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday morning's estimated rainfall in Stafford was 4.55 inches, according to the NWS.

The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) reported 3.90 inches for Stafford.

The Barnegat Bathing Beach saw 3.27 inches of rain between Friday night and Sunday evening, according to NWS data.

Also according to NWS data, as of Sunday evening West Creek had received 3.61 inches of rain.

On the island, North Beach Haven received 3.08 inches, Ship Bottom received 2.91 inches, Beach Haven received 2.86 inches, Harvey Cedars received 2.24 inches and Surf City received 1.56 inches, NWS data said.

Monday: Showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Northeast wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
