All of the main roadways on Long Beach Island are extremely flooded from heavy rain, so motorists are advised to give the floodwaters time to drain off.
"Heavy rain has caused temporary deep flooding conditions on the roadways," the Nixle alert from the Surf City Police Department states. Don't drive through the water your car will flood and then stall causing a road hazard. The water will drain shortly. Park and wait for it."
