Man Charged In Hit-And-Run That Killed Barnegat Woman
The woman was found dead along White Horse Pike in Galloway, police said. The man has been charged with leaving the scene, prosecutors said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — An Atlantic City man has been charged in a hit-and-run in Galloway that killed a Barnegat Township woman, authorities announced.
Darrell Dean, 61, has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.
Angeletta Sheppard, 33, was hit on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) westbound on Thursday, Sept. 12 just before 8 p.m. in the area of Seventh Avenue, authorities have said. The vehicle involved had left the scene before police arrived, they said.

Authorities later identified Dean as the driver responsible and he was found on Tuesday and arrested. He was released on a summons, the prosecutor's office said.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Crash Investigations Unit and Galloway Township police are investigating.
