Man Flees Barnegat Police After Traffic Stop, Hides In Shower
Saquan Weaver, 26, had multiple weapons, including loaded handguns, Barnegat police say

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Lakewood man is facing multiple weapons charges after he fled from police during a motor vehicle stop, according to the police department's Facebook page.
Members of the department's Crime Reduction Union stopped Saquan Weaver, 26, at 3:30 p.m. on July 13 on Ocean Avenue. Weaver put the vehicle in drive and fled the scene. Shortly after, police found the vehicle in the middle of the street on Mast Drive, with the driver's door open and the car empty, the page states.
Police received consent to search the Mast Drive residence where they thought Weaver had fled. They located Weaver hiding in the shower and placed him under arrest.

Officer recovered two loaded semi-automatic handguns and one loaded revolver. Weaver was charged with
second degree eluding, three counts of second degree unlawful possession of a handgun, fourth degree unlawful possession of a defaced handgun, and second degree certain persons not to possess a firearm.
Weaver was subsequently lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
