Man Shows Genitals During Argument With Manahawkin Neighbor: Police Blotter

Along with the lewdness arrest, multiple shoplifting arrests were made recently, according to the Stafford police blotter.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Manahawkin man was charged with lewdness after flashing his genitalia during an argument with a neighbor, police said.

David Terefenko, 46, was charged July 16 after exposing his genitalia during an argument occurring outside his and his neighbor's homes, police said.

He was taken to police headquarters and released with a criminal complaint summons.

On that same day, two people were charged with shoplifting in separate incidents.

A 78-year-old Manahawkin woman was charged with shoplifting for 17 different incidents at ShopRite on Route 72 between May and June 2025, police said. The total amount stolen was about $888, police said.

Later that afternoon, a 48-year-old Barnegat resident was also charged with shoplifting on five separate occasions between May and June, also at ShopRite, police said. The total amount stolen was about $263.

Another two shoplifting arrests were made on July 10, according to Stafford police.

A 64-year-old from Little Egg Harbor was charged following the theft of about $264 of merchandise at ShopRite, police said.

And a 69-year-old Lawrenceville woman was charged with shoplifting for stealing about $30 worth of merchandise from Reynolds Garden Shop, police said.
