Man Stole From Manahawkin ShopRite 43 Times In 2 Months: Police
The Forked River man stole about $1,800 worth of merchandise in 43 trips over the span of about two months, police said.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Forked River man is accused of stealing nearly $1,800 worth of merchandise from the Manahawkin ShopRite in 43 different incidents over the span of about two months, Stafford police said.
Daquan Nieves, 28, was taken into custody at about 10 p.m. Jan. 9, police said. Nieves was arrested on a warrant for stealing about $1,793 from the ShopRite at 297 Route 72 West, according to police.
He was taken to police headquarters where he was charged with shoplifting. Nieves was then taken to Ocean County Jail pending a future court appearance, police said.
