Meet Stafford's First Responders At Family-Friendly Event

Meet police, firefighters and EMTs, plus get a closeup look at their rides and gear at the Annual First Responders Day on April 22.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Whether your kid is dreaming of becoming a police officer or if you're curious about the people protecting your community, all are welcome to Stafford's Fourth Annual First Responders Day at the Ocean County Library Stafford Branch on April 22.

Pop in to the library's parking lot starting at 10:30 a.m. to meet township police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians led by Community Policing Officer Anthony Vincent.

Meet Stafford EMS Squad 38 Chief Michael Essig and his staff of volunteers, who provide medical support to residents of the township and the surrounding 47 square miles.

Learn about the tools they use and take a tour of a police vehicle, a fire truck and an EMT transport. In case of rain, the event will be moved to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23.
