Mostly Sunny Skies Today At Monmouth Count Beaches, National Weather Service Says

There's a low risk of rip currents today.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today at Monmouth County beaches, with a low risk of rip currents.

Highs will be in the lower 80s. Winds will be from the northeast at 5, switching over to the southeast in the afternoon. The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat.

Even though the rip current risk is low today, rips are always possible, especially near jetties and other structures. Always swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you when heading into the surf.
