No One Injured In Stafford Structural Fire, Police Say
Several homes in the Ridge Avenue area of Manahawkin had to be evacuated, police say

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Some residents on Ridge Avenue had to be evacuated Wednesday after a fire broke out at a home in the area, Lt. James R. Vaughn said.
Police, members of the Stafford Township Fire Department and emergency medical services responded to 1295 Ridge Avenue at 11:22 pm. on a report of a structural fire. When they arrived, smoke and flames were visible from the side of the house, Vaughn said.
"Police immediately evacuated the residence, and surrounding homes before the residence became fully engulfed," he said.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, he said.
The blaze is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office and the Stafford Bureau of Fire Prevention, Vaughn said.
