Ocean Township Cops: Social Media Threat To School Not Credible
Police said investigation found no danger to students and staff.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Ocean Township police have determined that a social media post alerting residents and parents of a potential threat against Waretown schools on Wednesday morning was not credible, according to a post on the police department Facebook page
"Patrol officers and detectives immediately investigated the social media post and determined that there was and is NO credible threat against the safety and well-being of the students of the school district," the post states.
The police department stayed in direct contact with school district officials and kept them informed of the investigation's development.
