'Operation Halloween' Offers Spooky Family Fun In Barnegat
The Rotary Club and Boy Scouts event features entertainment and scares for the whole family.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Looking for some spooky family fun? Operation Halloween returns to Barnegat this weekend and it offers fun for all.
Head to Citta Boy Scout Camp on Brookville Road on Oct. 21 and 22 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. to join the haunt. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Southern Ocean County and the Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council, the event is not a fundraiser but a community service project, according the official Ocean County Tourism website.
"Activities include a 'non-scare' Hayride, live music, a scary pathway to Zombie Outbreak Maze which attracts MANY of various age groups," the website reads. There will be food for purchase along with displays from organizations.

Other Halloween activities will include pumpkin painting, face painting and a hay maze.
Family-friendly fun is held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on "Pumpkin Street." But after that and until 10 p.m., watch out for zombies with "Terror in the Pines."

Tickets cost $15 and are sold at the gate, kids 3-and-under are free. Many organizations give out coupons, and one can be found on the Ocean County Tourism website. Simply present the coupon on your phone or print it out and bring it with you.
