Showering Teen Girl Filmed At Jersey Shore Rental, Prosecutors Say
David Lyons, a resident of Glenside, recorded multiple people in various stages of undress at two Beach Haven rentals and his PA home.
BEACH HAVEN, NJ — A Montgomery County, PA man admitted to recording underage and adult women changing their clothes in Beach Haven rental properties and his own home, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
David Lyons, 44, of Glenside, pleaded guilty to manufacturing child sexual abuse material and invasion of privacy in connection with a July 2023 incident, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Beach Haven police received a report that a 15-year-old girl had been filmed while showering at a local rental property, Billhimer said. Lyons was identified as the suspect. That teen girl was a relative of his, according to Abington Township police and previously reported by Patch.

A search warrant was executed on the rental property - where Lyons was staying - and a number of his electronic devices were seized, Billhimer said. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly, Billhimer said, but was released from Ocean County Jail due to bail reform.
A digital forensic review of the devices found that Lyons had surreptitiously filmed an underage victim and an adult victim in various stages of undress in a bathroom at another Beach Haven rental in July 2023, Billhimer said.

Additional videos appeared to have been taken in a bathroom at Lyons' PA home, Billhimer said.
Beach Haven police shared their findings with Abington Township police; Lyons was charged there with felony sexual abuse of children, invasion of privacy, and producing obscene and other sexual materials. Those charges remain pending.
