Pickleball Court Planned For Park In Ocean Acres, Mayor Says

Good news for pickleball lovers - a new court is in the works in Manahawkin, according to Mayor Greg Myhre.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Good news for pickleball lovers. A new court is being built at Lighthouse Park in Ocean Acres, according to Mayor Greg Myhre.

Myhre shared the news on social media Monday morning, but did not share any further details other than announcing that the township was in the process of building the new court.

Currently, you can enjoy pickleball at Mill Creek Park as well.

In case you've somehow missed the craze known as pickleball, it's a sport that uses ping-pong like paddles to hit a Wiffleball-like ball over a tennis-like net on a badminton-like court. Pickleball is constantly growing in popularity, especially in New Jersey.
