Plans Approved For New, Bigger ShopRite In Manahawkin
The new ShopRite will replace the old Kmart at Manahawkin Commons with a bigger store than the existing one in Stafford.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Shoppers in Manahawkin will soon have a larger ShopRite to peruse after plans for a new store were approved by the Stafford Township Planning Board.
The new World Class ShopRite will take the long-vacant storefront that was previously occupied by Kmart in Manahawkin Commons. Saker Properties will renovate the Kmart and part of the adjacent building to accommodate an about 116,000 square foot ShopRite store and about 20,000 square feet of retail space.
The proposal, approved at the Feb. 12 meeting, also includes some minor changes to the parking, loading and utilities around the building to accommodate the operations of ShopRite and the retail tenant.
